About me
Hi! I’m Chris Meneses, the guy behind Event Horizon Astrophotography. I’ve always been fascinated by the night sky, and once I got into astrophotography, I was completely hooked. What began as a way to spark my kids’ curiosity about space quickly turned into a passion for capturing the cosmos. By day (or night, depending on the shift), I’m a husband, father, nurse tech, EMT, and a full-time student working towards medical school. Balancing family, school, work, and astrophotography keeps me on my toes—though it usually means sacrificing a bit of sleep!
Astrophotography combines my love of space, science, technology, learning, and the thrill of a challenge. I’m especially drawn to Deep Sky Objects for their intricate details and vibrant colors, but nothing beats the awe of staring at a live view of Jupiter and its moons and then processing the perfect photo of them. So, why not follow along while I capture some seriously old and distant objects in the sky?
